Kids drive us mad, they cost us money. It's not easy being a parent in this modern world. Every time your kids look at the TV there's something else they want you to buy for them. Dogs are much easier to live with - they never ask you to get out your wallet.

Dogs are man's best friend, woman's best friend too. They give unconditional love, they are always thrilled to see you, rarely complain about the food you give them. They don't ask for money, they don't listen to terrible music. Maybe it would be better to have dogs, not kids.

Here are my eleven reasons why dogs are better than kids. You may have a few extra reasons of your own.

1. If your dog doesn't work out OK you can de-sex it and sell it as a pet
2. Dogs don't hassle you to buy them video game stuff
3. If your dog annoys you, you can shut it in its kennel for the day
4. You can house train a pup in a month or two
5. If you dog is too noisy you can have it de-barked
6. Dogs don't answer back very often
7. You don't have to buy your dog expensive running shoes
8. Dogs don't go out in public wearing clothes you hate
9. Dogs don't get embarrassed if you hug them in front of their friends
10. Dogs get their hair cut exactly how you want them to
11. If your dog gets pregnant you can sell the babies without getting arrested
